Liebes Architects started in San Francisco in the summer of 2009. Since then we have helped clients realize their dreams on their houses, apartment buildings, restaurants, cafes, stores and offices.  We love solving design problems in the most elegant way possible.

Heidi Liebes is a licensed architect in the State of California.

Heidi: I moved out to San Francisco in 1995 from Princeton, New Jersey where I attended graduate school. I received my Masters in Architecture from Princeton University and my Bachelors of Science in Architecture from (the) Ohio State University. My new architecture firm was born Sept. 1st, 2009 and it has been wonderful, adventurous and exciting ever since. I have inspiring clients whose opinions and intelligence I deeply respect. I am lucky and honered to be doing the kind of work that has come my way. I have learned many things over the years and one is that there area always a million options but only a few good solutions to design problems. I hope that I can continue to explore these more successful solutions.

I also find that I try to make the process as fun and relaxed as possible. I understand that my clients are taking quite a risk to follow through with their construction projects. I try to balance my practice by being a good listener while being the visionary architect with new ideas. The design process is collaborative. And the best projects come from these challenging, spirited, fun and colorful collaborations.

Like many other Northern California design professionals, I care deeply about what happens to this planet. I commute by bicycle and studied and passed the LEED exams and always introduce the more sustainable options to my clients.
